In 2012 and 2013, Ici-Même [Gr.], associated artist to the Théâtre du Merlan, for the creation of Opératour As guest of the théâtre du Merlan, we have the opportunity of furthering the exploration of Marseille that we initiated in 2004. We have organized journeys across the city with the help of many collaborators (S.F.T., La Compagnie, la Gare Franche, Radio Grenouille and now the Théâtre du Merlan and MP13), people who have accomodate us for one night and many more unexpected encounters, from which we have made up a multiple point of view and gained a practical experience of the field. Our geography is deep-rooted, made of many and moving startas. An 'Ici-Même Marseille' is born, an active group of people, artists living in Marseille who have joined different projects of Ici-Même for about 5 or 6 years...
This coming spring, Ici-Même opens its multimodal appointments schedule in the wider city of Marseille. Opératour slips into flux-city and its interchanges: the wholesale market (M.I.N.), the Saint-Charles train station, a corporate head office, an industrial platform, the 'urban centre' of Le Merlan, a theatre stage, a long and slow crossing of the city from one edge to the other, a whole night outside. The geography of Opératour gets into focus, little by little, as a game and as an exploration, to offer a renewed perception of the city, which is sensory as much as sensual.

Marseille / flux-city / gaseous fluxes, continuous fluxes, fluxes of money, of passengers, merchandises / signals, words, faces and voices / the city in and the city out, fluxes going through interchanges / being in, being with, at rush hours, walking along, making one's way, circulating, navigating in a 'grand ensemble' / Marseille / night and day, sailing out to the city.
