Living
memory, crossing Alexandria, Marseille and Grenoble : Ici-Même
invites to a sery of appointments calling to mind a trip to Alexandria,
hosted by Nassim
El Raqs festival
for art in public space in Alexandria. As an attempt to share something :
how travelling, meeting the Other, changing of scenery, displacing yourself
move the borders and inspire our work and our thought of it. Ici-Même
trips usually offer to slow down. Artists, students, actors of civil society
and Alexandria neighbours are invited to share this time space. We invite
you to this return trip, a way of building common points of views from
this experience.

During
spring 2016, Ici-Même was invited by Nassim
El Raqs Festival, festival for contemporary creation in public
space in Alexandria, Egypt, to create a performance on soundscape, inspired
by « City Sound Concerts ». In this perspective,
Ici-Même opened a 13 days workshop in Alexandria, in November 2015.
Five Ici-Même members took part in it, with several objectives :
meeting Egyptians future participants and create a French-Egyptian team,
sharing the experience of City Sound Concerts, as far as sound and senses
are concerned, experiencing it on Egyptian territory, and process the
creation of the future performance for the Festival.
