For over two years we have been following
closely the development of fondcommun "problematic press organ",
a project originally initiated by Vincent Bonnet and David Bouvard, from
Marseille, two artists otherwise involved punctually in our projects.
fondcommun is back at the Train Fantôme for the layout completion
of the next issue.

fondcommun
at the Train Fantôme
During
his residency in february 2011, Vincent Bonnet – David Bouvard having
meanwhile left the edition project – has mainly made contact with
people from Grenoble willing to get involved in the forthcoming issue
of fondcommun, and again he covered the front of the Train-Fantôme
with potential future pages of the publication. On the 21st june, the
people from Grenoble that have contributed to the next issue are invited
to work together on the final layout. The workshop is open to the public.

fondcommun
"fondcommun
is a problematic press organ of bi-yearly publication, an "atypical"
type of magazine — in between the artists' review and the free morning
paper. It constitutes of facts that shape, within the space of the printed
page, probelms. Intempestive, heterogenous and shared, current and anachronistic,
raw and sophisticated, these facts are produced by people involved in
creation processes. We assert that in-forming is first about producing
a form. This form is a way of looking for new usages at the margin of
those instituated in the fields of arts, politics, buisness, entertainement,
finance and medias."
Beyond our visible involvement in the issue "zero" of september
2009, Vincent Bonnet and David Bouvard had also opened working discussions
to the audience of our project "Habiter au bord de la panique #2"
(at the Théâtre 145 in Grenoble, in october 2008) while working
on issue "one": and proposed a second "reflection workshop"
for issue "zero-one" during our "Week-End occupé"
at the Train Fantôme in january 2010. That workshop had given way
– among other things – to a beautiful billsticking of the
layout pages around the Train Fantôme.

the cipM
Vincent Bonnet also invited us to participate in an intervention at the
cipM (International Center for Poetry of Marseille) on march 11th, 2011.
We hed been offered to work something out of the problematic of the image
(printed image, exchanged/transposed image) ; we have given out a sixty-odd
images that had been found and reframed, and which thereafter were used
as the starting point of the conversation.
to be continued infondcommun

The
residency of fondcommun was part of the Train Fantôme development
project, supported by the FSE (European Social Fund) for the year 2011.
